Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SAURAC LTD ("SAURAC", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the MyTripPay mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App").
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, MyTripPay may process the following categories of information:
- Account and profile information: email address, account identifier, display name, profile photo, and authentication information required to sign in.
- Trip information: trip names, destinations, travel dates, home currency, trip status, and other information you choose to add to a trip.
- Expense information: amounts, currencies, categories, dates, notes/descriptions, and other expense details you choose to record.
- Location information: precise or approximate location only when you grant permission and use location or map features. Location may be used to show your position, place expenses on a map, or associate a place with an expense. MyTripPay does not require continuous background location access for its core expense-tracking features.
- Currency and conversion information: selected currencies, exchange-rate dates, and conversion requests used to calculate travel-spending values.
- Purchase information: product/entitlement status and transaction-related identifiers when optional paid features are offered. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the actual payment details; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical and diagnostic information: app version, operating system, device/app identifiers, error information, and limited usage diagnostics that may be generated by the App, platform, or service providers to maintain security and reliability.
- AI feature content: if you use an AI-assisted feature such as Ask MyTripPay, the text you submit and the minimum relevant trip or expense context needed to answer your request may be processed by an AI service provider acting on our behalf.
- Support communications: information you provide when you contact us for help, feedback, or a privacy request.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and secure your account;
- save, synchronize, and display your trips and expenses;
- calculate currency conversions and spending summaries;
- provide maps, location-based features, statistics, insights, exports, offline synchronization, and other App functionality;
- process and restore optional purchases and entitlements;
- provide AI-assisted features when you choose to use them;
- diagnose errors, prevent abuse, protect accounts, and improve App reliability and performance;
- respond to support, legal, privacy, and security requests; and
- comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. Legal Bases and Your Choices
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide the App and perform our agreement with you, with your consent for optional permissions or features, for our legitimate interests in security and service improvement, and where necessary to comply with law.
You can withdraw optional permissions such as location access through your device settings. Withdrawing a permission may disable the related feature but will not prevent use of unrelated App features.
4. Data Storage and Security
MyTripPay uses cloud infrastructure and services, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud services, for functions such as authentication, data storage, synchronization, and security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, account credentials, and any authentication methods linked to your account.
5. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers only as needed to operate MyTripPay, including:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud: authentication, cloud storage/database, synchronization, security, and related infrastructure.
- Apple and Google: app distribution, platform services, purchase processing, and purchase restoration.
- Apple Maps / Google Maps Platform: maps, geocoding, and location-based functions, depending on your device and App configuration.
- Exchange-rate providers: currency/date queries used to obtain exchange-rate information. These requests are designed not to require your account identity.
- AI processing providers: only when you choose to use AI-assisted features, and only the content/context reasonably necessary to perform your request.
- Professional, legal, or security recipients: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to lawful requests.
We require service providers processing personal information on our behalf to protect it consistently with applicable law and their contractual obligations.
6. Maps, Location, and External Services
Location access is optional unless a specific location-based feature requires it. Map and geocoding services may independently process technical information according to their own privacy policies. You can revoke MyTripPay's location permission at any time in your device settings.
7. Currency Information
Exchange rates are provided for informational and travel-budgeting purposes. Rates may be delayed, unavailable, or different from the rates offered by banks, card networks, exchange offices, or payment providers. Currency requests sent to an exchange-rate service generally consist of currency codes and dates rather than your personal account information.
8. AI-Assisted Features
If AI-assisted functionality is available and you use it, prompts and relevant context may be transmitted to a third-party AI processor so the feature can generate a response. Do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or other sensitive information that is not necessary for the feature. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate and should not be treated as professional financial, legal, tax, or travel advice.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account, trip, and expense data for as long as your account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the App. We may retain limited information for longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce agreements.
When you initiate deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account from active systems except where retention is legally required. Residual copies may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten according to our service providers' normal backup cycles.
If MyTripPay supports account creation, you can initiate deletion from the account/settings area of the App. You may also contact us at saurac@saurac.com for privacy assistance.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, Türkiye's KVKK, CCPA/CPRA, or similar privacy laws. These may include rights to:
- access personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and
- lodge a complaint with an applicable data protection authority.
To exercise a privacy right, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
11. Children's Privacy
MyTripPay is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the law in your country requires a higher minimum age for independent consent to digital services, that higher age applies. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to applicable law, please contact us.
12. International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal information.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to MyTripPay, our service providers, or applicable law. We will update the "Last Updated" date above and, when appropriate, provide notice in the App or through another reasonable method.
